Sean Shen

Sean joined our lab during the Summer of 2011. Having grown up in California, he ventured as far as the Bay Area where he obtained his Bachelors of Arts in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of California at Berkeley. After graduation, Sean returned to southern California where he started working at WindRose Analytica and Althea Technologies. Working in an analytical chemistry lab, Sean characterized pre-clinical protein based therapeutics by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), ELISA immunoassays, and mass spectrometry. Interested in mass spectrometry and wanting to learn more, Sean chose to further his understanding with the Loo Group at UCLA where he is currently examining quantitative proteomics for neurotrauma biomarker discovery and drug packaging.
