John Muroski

john

John joined the Loo lab in June 2016. As an undergraduate at the University of Rochester, he studied maturation of ribsomal RNA using primarily genetic and biochemical techniques. Upon moving to UCLA for graduate studies, his switched his focus to proteomics and joined the Loo Lab.

Within proteomics, he has a particular interest in microbes as well as post translational modifications. In his free time, he works for the Undergraduate Research Center, where he works with undergraduate students to help them develop fundamental research skills and help them find research opportunities. He is also a recipient of UCLA's MBI Whitcome Fellowship.
